  When we moved back to Florida many years ago, we immediately started searching for nearby Catholic churches and visited quite a few looking for that perfect fit. St. Matthew Catholic Church in Largo, FL was the one church that spoke to our hearts and made us feel especially welcome. We recognized that this was a church filled with people who cared about not only its members but its surrounding community. St. Matthew's has many wonderful ministries which help those in need who live within the parish boundaries. This parish also collects nonperishable food to help supply the Interfaith Food Pantry. Youth groups over the years have provided new socks filled with hygiene products to the homeless as well as to nursing home residents. St. Matthew's is currently collecting new undergarments for those in need. Our priests have moved on many times over the years but what stays consistent with St. Matthew Catholic Church is that it is a church that has heart and soul.
